March 2nd 2020 the following Decree-law came into force:
Urgent measures for families, workers and enterprises related to COVID-19 epidemic emergency

What does this involve for foreign citizens who applied for their Residence Permit (Permesso di Soggiorno)?
1. Delay in the issue of the Residence Permit
2. More tolerance for those who will not be able to adhere to the following conditions, set by law:
- Requesting for appointment to sign the Job Contract (Contratto di Soggiorno) within 8 day from entering Italy (which is mandatory to process Residence Permit application)
- Applying for Residence Permit renewal in the 60 days preceding or following the permit expiration.
