Maddalena was deeply invested in ensuring every relocation was as seamless as possible, creating a company culture focused on personal attention and complete client satisfaction.

At the end of 2022, after Maddalena’s passing, Professional Relo was acquired by Packimpex, a leading European relocation company. This transition, although challenging, opened the door to growth and modernization. The integration of Professional Relo into Packimpex’s structure allowed the team to retain its core values while benefiting from Packimpex’s innovative approach and extensive European network.

Melanie Mor Zucchero, former Relocation Manager in Geneva, Switzerland, was assigned to lead the integration of Professional Relo into Packimpex. Reflecting on the process, she shared:

“I love working with our Italian team; they are an inspiring group of highly motivated professionals. Little-known fact: Professional Relo is entirely managed and operated by women, and we’re proud of that. The integration wasn’t easy, especially since Packimpex is rather decentralized with 12 teams across Europe. But it meant a great deal to the Italian team because we brought a level of speed to their operations they had not experienced before.” 

Melanie highlighted how Packimpex identified areas for improvement and optimized performance for both team and clients:

‘’To tackle Italy’s complex bureaucracy and lengthy procedures, we’ve introduced a specialized team for local registrations and settling-in. This ensures a faster, more efficient process, allowing our destination and immigration teams to focus on other key aspects of the move.’’
